Ken returns for a third term as Pension Fund Member Nominated Trustee Director.

Ken Hill has been reselected to the board of Imperial Tobacco Pension Trustees Limited for a third term as one of the pensioner and deferred Member Nominated Trustee (MNT) Directors.

 

He was first selected for a four-year term in 2015 and was reselected in 2019, with his second term expiring at the end of February 2023.

 

In preparation, a call for nominations was made in November 2022, with Ken successfully being selected for a third four-year term starting on 1 March 2023.

 

Head office project

 

Ken joined the Wills Operational Research Department in East Street, Bedminster, Bristol, in 1974. He enjoyed several roles during his 40-year career with Imperial, including Sales Administration Manager, running the UK operation with Graham Blashill, and being involved in all of the company's acquisitions. His final role was managing the new head office project on Winterstoke Road, which opened in 2013.

 

Skills and knowledge

 

MNT Directors play a vital role is helping to run the Fund. Their responsibilities include the oversight of general Fund administration, appointing professional advisors, investment of the Fund's assets, preparing annual accounts and application of the Fund's rules.

"He was reselected based on the strength of his corporate and trustee experience and the skills and knowledge he has brought to the Trustee Board during his eight-year tenure to date."

 

Ken's new four-year term of office will run until 28 February 2017, when new nominations will be sought.

 

Kirsty Green-Mann, who was selected in 2021, is the other pensioner and deferred member MNT director.
